Pi Delta Phi Honor Society

Epsilon Chapter - Invitation To Become A Member
The French Department, chapter Epsilon of the National Honor Society Pi Delta Phi since 1927, invites graduate and undergraduate students to apply for membership. The application window each year is from January to mid February (see below for specific dates).
Those interested are invited to view the application form which explains the requirements. You have to submit a transcript (official or unofficial) with your application. One need not be a French major or minor to apply. There is a $30 initiation fee, which will be collected after you have been accepted. Please do not submit a check with your application!
Please submit your application form to Professor Marcus Keller (mailbox in FLB 2090, MC -158), the French Department Faculty Advisor for Pi Delta Phi whom you should also contact in case you have any questions.
Please note: Your participation in the IPP-Program and your absence from campus during spring semester 2008 does NOT prevent you from applying for membership.

Application requirements for Pi Delta Phi, French National Honor Society
Requirements for Undergraduate Students
- At the time of application, you must have earned at least 12 credit hours in French at the 200-level and above; courses you are taking during spring 2008 do NOT qualify.
- GPA 3.00 overall (cumulative GPA)
- GPA 3.25 in French
Requirements for Graduate Students
- 4 units in French
- GPA 3.5 overall (cumulative GPA)
Other Information
Please turn in the Pi Delta Phi application with a transcript as soon as possible but before Friday, February 15, 2008. Upon acceptance, the payment of the acceptance fee ($30) is required.The initiation ceremony will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 4 to 6pm in the Lucy Ellis Lounge, FLB 1080. You will be contacted by February 22, 2008 regarding your membership.
