My work is on Phonetics, Phonology and Sociolinguistics of French, with special emphasis on phonological variation and sound change in Parisian French.

My most recent research projects focus on vowel harmony in the Northern and Southern dialects of France and prosodic and segmental characteristics of the speech of working-class adolescents of immigrant origin in a Northeastern suburb of Paris. I also published on lexical innovation in adolescent peer groups, liaison sans enchaînement, and the tonal characteristics of parentheticals.

I frequently collaborate with colleagues, and I am a member of the 'Phonetics and Phonology' (F^3) Reading Group and the 'Dynamics of Language and Dialect Contact' (DLDC) Research Group at UIUC. I spend my free time with my family. I like running, swimming and playing the violin.
